“Getting Sober is Easy; Staying Sober is the Hard Part”
Substance abuse is a life altering problem that has devastating effects not only for the individual, but also for families, friends, and the community. Abstinence from alcohol and drugs is just the beginning in the journey to rebuild and revive a life clouded by addiction.
Relapse is real. It happens all to often. People in recovery need ongoing support if they are to be successful. Often times family relationships have suffered and cannot provide the support necessary. Here at “A Step Up” we strive to provide a safe, secure, and comfortable sober living community for individuals in recovery from addiction. A transition back into the real world with structure and supervision, but most of all, with the support of a community of people who are all on the same path.
Society has rules, and so do we. But our house rules are designed to keep everyone safe and to foster an environment where people can not only remain clean and sober but also heal and grow.
